During the rainy season in 2020, the Schools and Satellites (SaS) Pilot Project took several rain measurements in different locations across Ghana, with the support of the citizen science community. In addition, SaS Pilot Project did the first tests of the RainRunner with MSG data, and – comparing with other products – the MSG data has showed better resolution than others.
In 2021, SaS Pilot Project will finalise the RainRunner Rainfall retrieval algorithm and validate the rainrunner with Citizen Observatory data from rainy season in 2021.
